General liability insurance
for NYC operators.
Third-party bodily injury, property damage, and personal & advertising injury — placed against your actual contracts. Same-day COIs and additional insured endorsements for landlords, GCs, and clients.
What the policy covers.
An independent broker, not a captive.
We're independent — we quote your risk across 15+ carriers (Chubb, Hanover, Hiscox, Coterie, AmTrust, and more) instead of pushing one product. That matters most when your operation doesn't fit a captive's standard box: a contractor with an aggressive growth year, a restaurant adding a second location, a tech firm with new client contracts requiring higher limits.
Questions operators ask.
What does general liability insurance cover in NYC?+
A standard CGL policy (CG 00 01) responds to third-party bodily injury, property damage, and personal & advertising injury arising from your premises, operations, and completed work. It does not cover damage to your own property or work, employee injuries (that's workers' comp), or professional services errors.
How much general liability does a NYC business typically need?+
Most NYC landlord and client contracts require $1M per occurrence / $2M aggregate. Construction, real estate, and hospitality often need higher limits via an umbrella ($5M–$25M). We size to your actual contractual requirements, not a default.
Can you issue same-day certificates of insurance (COIs)?+
Yes. Once bound, COIs and additional insured endorsements for landlords, GCs, and clients are typically issued same-day, often within an hour.
How fast can you bind a GL policy?+
For most clean Class A and B risks, we can quote within 24–48 hours and bind same-day on acceptance. Higher-hazard classes (e.g. roofing, demolition) take longer because they go to surplus markets.
